JAPAN - Cast iron candleholder

A hexagonal shaped candleholder by Japan in the 1960s for up to 12 Tiny Tapers. Made in Japan for Nordic Collections Nob Hill, for Canada the holder is made for Carol Candles. Also found marked Taiwan and Hong Kong. At each corner of the hexagonal shape the candle holders are decorated with small circular enamel dots, colored in bright colors. The enameled dots and the holders for the tapers are placed in different layers, emphasizing the contrast between the rough sandy black cast iron and the smooth colorful enamel.
